Hi, I’m Nico Lim (also known online as nicolimdraws)! By day, I teach art to kids, sharing in their spontaneous creativity and boundless imaginations. By night, I bring my own picture book stories to life as an author-illustrator.

Illustrating primarily in traditional watercolors and colored pencils, my work embraces both the quiet and the high-energy moments of growing up. While I love capturing cozy, hopeful scenes, I also love drawing the silly, whimsical, and wildly adventurous side of life. Whether guiding young artists in the classroom or painting at my desk, my goal is to spark emotion, hoping to make readers laugh, reflect, dream big, or set off on an exciting new adventure.



I am actively seeking literary representation for both author-illustrator projects and picture book illustration. Literary agents interested in reviewing a pitch dummy or discussing representation are warmly invited to get in touch.
